Mehdi Forouzandeh

Born in 1952, Isfahan based calligrapher Mehdi Forouzandeh was a protégé of Hossein Mirkhani and went on to become a certified master of Iran Calligraphers’ society. He’s transcribed some important works of Persian literature including Hafiz and Sa’di poetry. He’s registered a patent for a new kind of calligraphy pen, been involved in 14 individual and countless collective exhibitions and been a jury member in many calligraphy competitions. He works predominantly in the Nastaliq style of calligraphy.
