Gholam Hossein Amirkhani

Born in 1939 in Taleqhan, Iranian master Gholam Hossein Amirkhani learned his craft from the likes of the legendary Mirkhani brothers. Considered one of the all-time greats in the Nastaliq style of Iranian calligraphy, his work has been exhibited all over the world. Amirkhani is the president of Iran’s Calligraphers Society and is an inductee of Iranian science and culture hall of fame. Many of his students have gone on to become prominent artists and his work has influenced multiple generations of Iranian calligraphers.
