Basmallah (framarz) Sarwari

Born in 1985 in Herat, Basmallah “Faraz” Sarwari is an Afghan calligraphy artist and teacher. He has compiled and transcribed more than 30 books in the fields of mysticism and calligraphy. His work has been displayed in individual exhibitions in Herat and Germany and collective exhibitions in Turkey, Tajikistan, Iran and Turkmenistan. He won the first prize for calligraphy at the art festival organized by Afghanistan Ministry of Information and Culture.
