Mohammad Mehdi Mirzae

Born in 1970, Mohammad Mehdi Mirzaei is an Afghan calligraphy artist and a native of Jaghori district. His grandfather, Mirza Mohammad Ibrahim, was a renowned calligraphy artist of his era. An expert practitioner of Nastaliq, since moving to Iran Mohammad Mahdi Mirzaei has been involved in numerous solo and group exhibitions and won a number of awards for his work in Nastaliq. He’s also an instructor of Calligraphy at prestigious Iranian academies. He is married to Afghan artist Shakila Alami.
