Iranian calligraphy artist Farhad Shirkhani was born in 1967 in Sabzevar. He learned under the tutelage of Ali Toosi. He also studied under Hakim Ghenam, Mashad based calligrapher of Iraqi decent to refine his skill in Naskh and Thuluth scripts. In 2008 He received hi certificate of Excellence in Thuluth and has been featured in more than 70 exhibitions and calligraphy competitions and won more than 40 awards for his work in Thuluth and Naskh. On a mission from Iran ministry of Education in Turkey, He took advantage by learning under Hasan Celebi and Davoot Bektas and later became a certified master of Iran calligraphers Association
