Dr. Rafat Mohammad

Raf’at Mohammad Albavaize, born in 1982, is a Jordanian artist who holds a PhD in Islamic history and Art. He received his certificate of Arabic Calligraphy from Abbas Al Baghdadi, renowned Iraqi calligrapher. He’s a founding member of International Arabic calligraphy and ornamental arts Union. Among his accolades are winning first prize in Arabic calligraphy competition organized by Arabic Language Conference. He was also one of the artists involved in transcribing the biggest Quran in the work in Syria, 2006. His work has been on display in solo and collective exhibitions in Jordan, Egypt, Japan, Lebanon, India and more.
