Shakila Alemi

Afghan artist Shakila Alemi was born in Kabul in 1980 and currently resides in Tehran. A renowned artist in the fields of Illuminated manuscript and Miniature, her work include collaborations with renowned Iranian calligraphy artists and also the walls of Imamzadeh Salih holy shrine in Northern Tehran. Her teaching credits includes, but is not limited to, ECO cultural institute and Shahid Kashefi High School in Tehran. She Participated in Watercolor exhibition the Fabriano, Italy. Alemi also played the lead role in the film “Issued” by Amir Sadeghi.
