Mohammad Karim Raqibov

Mohammad Karim Raqibov was born in 1956 in the Badakhshan region of Tajikistan. He graduated from Mirzo Rahmat Alimov Painting Conservatory in Dushanbe. He has been teaching at the Tajikistan State Institute of Fine Arts and Design since 2013. He is one of the most prominent masters of traditional Tajik painting of Kundal style which is a decorative painting technique. 

He has played a significant role in designing Kulab Culture Palace, Pabeda Culture House, Lahoti Theater, Council of Ministers Park House, Sadriddin Ayni Theater, Saman Palace, “Sirena” Hotel in Dushanbe, Wang Teahouse, Kolkhoz Moscow Cultural Center, “Khurramshahr” Teahouse in Dangara, and Palace of Culture in Kharog and his works have been displayed in several exhibitions in the country.
