Mohammad Bahiri

Mohamed Bahiri is an Algerian calligrapher who was born in 1959. After completing the School of Fine Arts in The City of Oran, he entered the School of Fine Arts in Algiers, where he received a scholarship to The Architect of Sinan University in Turkey and graduated in Islamic art in the field of calligraphy. During a decade of his life, he taught at universities in the United Arab Emirates and Jordan from 1988. Mohammad Bahiri was sent to Germany following the establishment of an Islamic calligraphy and ornamental workshop and a workshop on designing and preparing traditional papers and supervising the construction of these papers, and received a Ph.D. from the Archaeological Faculty at this university. He has participated in prestigious international exhibitions and competitions, as well as his calligraphy works adorning the collections of high-ranking politicians from different countries. All calligraphies of The Mosque of Malik Al-Husayn bin Talal are made by him. Mohammed Bahiri has now quit all his jobs and is training his compatriots in Algeria.
