Mohammad Akbar Daftari

Afghan calligrapher Mohammad Akbar Daftari was born in 1971. At a young age he fled the war in Afghanistan and moved to Iran, where he lived for 14 years. He learned the principles of calligraphy from his father and later received a grade 1 certificate from Tehran Calligraphy Association. He’s since moved back to his native country and currently teaches calligraphy at the Firooz Koh institute.
