Mir wali Ahmad Sabri

Born in 1965 in Herat, Mir Wali Ahmad Sabri learned the Nastaliq and Thuluth scripts at Iran Calligraphy Association. His published works includes inscriptions of Hafiz poetry and Quran in Nastaliq. A founding member of Herat Calligraphy Association, he has won multiple awards for his work include first prize in Thuluth at the event organized for Ayatollah Khomeini’s death and has held exhibitions at the headquarters of Iranian Calligraphy Association in Tehran
