Assylbek Urynbassarov

Kazakh artist Assylbek Urynbassarov was born in 1984 and learned calligraphy in Egypt and Turkey under Hasan Celebi and Mumtaz Durdu, among others. He often uses Thuluth and Naskh styles of Islamic calligraphy in his work and has presented his work at individual exhibitions in Almaty and Moscow. He also teaches Islamic Calligraphy to aspiring young artist in his native Kazakhstan
