Ali Jaferi

Born in 1956 in Shahroud, Ali Jaferi started his pursuit of calligraphy at 15 in the city of Mashad. He’s learned under Gholamreza Mousavi, Mostafa Mehdizadegh, Hossein Mirkhani and Gholam Hossein Amirkhani and often uses the Nastaliq script in his work. He has put on paper some important works of Iranian literature, namely Hafiz and Sa’di poetry and has won awards at Islamic Nations calligraphy competition in Istanbul and participated in numerous exhibitions including Quran calligraphy forum in 2000 in Tehran.
